Earlier this month the Kalamazoo College Women's soccer team was awarded the MIAA Team GPA Award for having a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or better for the 2008-09 academic year. WAY TO GO HORNETS!!! For the 2008-09 Academic Year the Women's Soccer Team carried a cumulative GPA of 3.376. Although the women's soccer team has consistently garnered this award in the past several years it is certainly an acomplishment that the program is very proud of. It is truly a team effort dependent on the time and hard work of every student athlete in our program.
We also had a number of student athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. This award recognizes student-athletes who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the entire 2008-09 academic year and won a varsity letter for the year. The Academic Honor Roll program was begun in 1990 to recognize students at MIAA member colleges who excel both in athletics and in the classroom. Our honorees include
Class of 2009
Sarah Arnosky
Stephanie Jones
Class of 2010
Jaime Franks
Class of 2012
Madelaine McCann
Rachel Pitzer
Julia Schroeder
